Account Specialist

The Work

  • Your primary objective will be to assist project managers with the implementation and deployment of project deliverables. We strive to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients, and you will play a key role in ensuring each project is a success.

  • Manage calendars and assist with scheduling for staff and clients

  • Handle select administrative duties on behalf of BlueGovTech staff

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and bids for new contracts

  • Be a partner in helping BlueGovTech continue to deliver exceptional service, while also growing

  • Manage logistics of equipment/accessory orders placed through our online store, earning 25% commission on all orders you process

Work Schedule

  • We may be a small firm, but we strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance. As proof of our dedication to this, the Account Specialist position will enjoy a full-time work schedule of only 32-hours per week. A normal work week is Monday-Thursday (8:00AM-4:00PM).

  • You will be working from our office space at 5610 Ward Road in Arvada

  • Note: Though the majority of work weeks will be in office Monday-Thursday, some projects may require this position to be on-site with clients. Anticipated on-site with clients time, 2-3 weeks per quarter.

Your Skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to quickly evaluate a long list of tasks and prioritize them

  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines

  • Working knowledge Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint

  • Previous employment with local government and/or a public safety agency is a huge plus 


  • Salary: $60,000+ - Paid bi-weekly. This position is not eligible for over-time

    • 25% commission on sales made of BlueGovTech accessories

  • Medical/Dental: Plan through Kaiser Permanente and BlueGovTech will pay for the first $500 of monthly premium for selected plan

  • Retirement: Starting January 1, 2024 BlueGovTech will contribute 10% and employee contributes 8%. Employee can elect to contribute less.

  • Paid Time Off: An annual bank of 120 hours of paid time off

Hiring Process

  • BlueGovTech staff will review every resume submitted and notify the applicant within 3 business days if they are selected to move on to the next steps of the hiring process, which include:​

    • Employment Questionnaire

    • Interview

    • Background check

Due to the nature of our work, each BlueGovTech employee is registered with the CJIS Vendor Management Program, which is a requirement for employment. In compliance with that program and internal policies, any of the following criteria will disqualify a candidate from moving forward in the hiring process:

  • Any conviction of a crime which is:​​

    • A felony​

    • A crime against a person

    • A crime involving fraud

    • A crime which as defined by CRS Title 18, Article 5.5, would be classified as a computer crime,

    • A crime against government operations

    • A crime involving domestic violence

  • Applicants must have a valid Colorado Driver's license with no more than 4 points against their license in the past 5-years
